Final extended postmark deadline: December 15, 2008
We have not received enough submissions from unpublished poets,
so are offering one final deadline extension.

If we do not receive the needed submissions by then we may have to cancel

this year's contest and return all work.
Help spread the word: tell your colleagues, friends, students--
if you can, copy and post this notice in your school.

Reading/contest fee: $10

An editorial board of writers & educators will judge the work as blind submissions.
Submissions will be accepted from only unpublished poets:
prior publication in local community publications is okay.
Anyone connected with the production of The Teacher’s Voice is not eligible.
We accept simultaneous submissions and will consider all submissions for publication

Guidelines: All styles & aesthetics are welcome, but the poems must reflect on teaching
and/or education in the United States or abroad. Please submit up to three poems, any
length, along with SASE for notification of contest results ($2 for each extra poem).
Your name should appear only on a separate page with the title of each poem, along with
your address, telephone, and email. We shred and recycle all work not used if a SASE is
not included. Please do not send your only copies.
